• What is the Body Lab pilates+

    The Body Lab pilates+ is a unique hybrid of pilates, cardio and weight training that uses the state-of-the-art Megaformer™ to create an exercise experience unlike any other. It strengthens, tightens, and tones the entire body quickly and safely. It is an integrated combination of traditional pilates, that lengthens and stretches the muscles, strength training, and cardio. The 50 minute small group class environment helps to achieve optimal personal fitness.

  • HOW DO I SIGN-UP FOR MY FIRST CLASS?

    All scheduling is done through our automated system. Click on Become a member in the upper right hand corner of the page. Once you have created you account, click on the CLASSES tab and the schedule will come up. Select your class and when the system asks what you would like to purchase, select first class $15.

  • THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DOING THE BODY LAB pilates+… SHOULD I DO PRIVATE SESSIONS FIRST?

    It depends on your current fitness level. 99% of our new students do just fine in the classes. The workout is intense but the routine is kept simple to make sure everyone is using good form. However, if you have chronic back pain, painful joints or a severe medical condition, it is recommended to take a private session first to assess your fitness level.

  • HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE THE BODY LAB pilates+

    The workout is designed to work your body to muscle fatigue at which point you need to rest. Depending on your fitness level and the intensity of your workout, you will need more, or less, time to recover. We recommend three times a week to allow your body to properly recover and repair. Listen to your body, it’s up to you.

  • WHAT IF I CAN’T COME TO CLASS AND I HAVE ALREADY BEEN CONFIRMED? WILL I BE CHARGED?

    Yes, even if it’s your first time. Our AZ studios require a 6 hour notice before making any kind of changes to your schedule and our KS studios require an 8 hour notice. A $25 late cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card on file each time you cancel or reschedule a class without giving the appropriate studio the required notice. Sorry, there are no exceptions.

  • HOW DO I BUY CLASSES, MONTHLY MEMBERSHIPS OR PACKAGES, AND SCHEDULE CLASSES?

    We use an online system where the member can be in complete control. You will be asked to create a profile, login, and password. You will also be asked for a credit card to keep on file, which can be used for purchases, as well as any late charges. Our automated online booking system can be found on our homepage at https://thebodylabus.com/ , as well as throughout this website. Once you have created an account, you can view the class schedule or purchase classes/packages/monthly memberships that are right for you.   • WHAT IF I AM TRAVELING? CAN I PUT MY ACCOUNT ON HOLD?

    Yes. We allow members to put their accounts on hold for a minimum of 14 days for a maximum of 3 times per 12 month period.

  • WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?

    1. Socks with tread are required throughout the studio and for all classes. We sell grip socks at the front desk, if you don’t have any.
    2. Bring a towel as you will most likely sweat!
    3. We have a water dispenser, but some students may want to have a water bottle instead.
    4. Wear loose, comfortable clothes, that allow your muscles to stretch and your skin to “breathe” (similar to what you would wear for a yoga or dance
    class).
    5. Jewelry is NOT a good idea. It may catch in the spring system, but it is your choice.
    6. No cell phones during classes (please be respectful of others).
    7. No strong perfumes.

  • ARE MY PURCHASES REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE?

    Sorry, but all purchases are final, and are not transferable. Some of our memberships require signing a contract for auto-payments. Please make sure that you look these over carefully and fully understand the rules before signing them.

  • IS MY PACKAGE ON AUTO-PAYMENT AND AUTO-RENEWAL? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

    We have packages, such as our 3 month package, that withdraw funds automatically directly from your credit card account on file and also automatically renew the contract with the same terms upon expiration. Meaning, that your account will debit automatically monthly, and when the package contract ends, it will automatically renew and you will begin another contract for the same length of time under the same terms. If you choose to end your package when the initial term expires, you must give us notice by email at least ten days prior to your contract ending, so that your contract doesn’t automatically renew. Our 3 month packages are on this contract. So be sure that you are very clear what the rules are when purchasing your packages.
